Appointments
A day view as a list or one column per staff member, with conflict warnings, rescheduling, and a single tap to turn a finished booking into a bill.
Payments & dues
Record payments by method and see who owes what, grouped by how long it has been. A customer can tap "I have paid" on their bill, and the owner gets a push to confirm it.
WhatsApp reminders
Bills are shared from the owner's own WhatsApp, and a chase queue works through overdue customers one message at a time — reminders at 3, 7, 15 and 30 days.
Win-back
Parchi learns each customer's usual gap between visits and flags the ones who have stayed away too long, so the shop can bring them back before they go elsewhere.
Reports & staff
A closing report by payment method, sales and GST summaries with CSV export, and per-person staff permissions so the counter sees the diary and not the takings.
A neighbourhood salon, an AC repair crew or a tuition centre usually runs on a paper diary, a bill book and a WhatsApp chat full of “please pay” messages that nobody enjoys sending. Parchi puts all three on the phone the owner already carries.
The name is the point. A parchi (पर्ची) is the slip that says it’s your turn, and the slip that says what you owe. That is the whole app.
Customer, work, bill, payment, WhatsApp
Parchi follows one flow and does not wander from it. A customer is booked, the work gets done, a bill is raised, the payment is recorded, and the customer hears about each step on WhatsApp. The customer never installs anything — they get a link to a light web page with their bill and a UPI button that pays the shop directly. Parchi never touches the shop’s money.
Set up for the trade, not a generic business
At sign-up the owner picks what they do — salon, barber, spa, mobile repair, plumber, tutor, gym, photographer and more. Parchi loads a starter price list for that trade and adjusts its wording to match, so the app speaks the shop’s language rather than a generic one — in English or Hindi.
Built to be trusted with the day’s takings
- Totals are calculated on the server, and every bill and payment carries a key that stops a patchy connection from recording it twice.
- Every money change is logged in an activity history the shop can read.
- Each shop’s data is walled off from every other shop’s, and that isolation is tested on every endpoint.
- No ad, analytics or tracking SDKs in the app, with account deletion and data-retention rules in line with India’s DPDP Act.
The part the shop never sees
Behind the app is a Laravel back end with an admin portal we use to run the service: every shop, its plan, who is due for renewal, and online payment links or offline payments recorded against a proper GST invoice.
Priced like a bill book, not software
Parchi is a simple 12-month licence sized by team. The Starter plan, for up to two staff, is ₹1,199 a year — ₹599 for the first. Nothing auto-renews, and features are the same on every plan. The 30-day free trial needs no card, and its clock only starts when the shop raises its first bill.
