Refund & Cancellation Policy

How cancellations and refunds work for client projects and retainers, and for licences of our own apps.

Last updated · Applight Infotech LLP

The short version

  • Client projects follow the payment and cancellation terms in the proposal you sign — this page sets out the defaults.
  • Work already delivered and accepted is paid for; advances for work not yet started are refundable.
  • Monthly retainers can be cancelled with 30 days' notice.
  • Parchi starts on a free plan, paid licences never auto-renew, and any licence can be refunded in full within 7 days of purchase.

This policy applies to payments made to Applight Infotech LLP for our services and for licences of our own products. Where a signed proposal, statement of work or agreement says something different, the signed document prevails.

Client projects

Project work is usually billed in milestones agreed in the proposal — typically an advance to begin, then payments as each phase is delivered.

  • Before work starts: if you cancel after paying an advance but before we have begun work, the advance is refunded in full, less any third-party costs we have already paid on your behalf (such as domains, licences or stock assets).
  • During a project: you may cancel at any time by writing to us. You pay for work completed up to the date of cancellation, calculated against the milestone plan. Any amount paid in excess of that is refunded.
  • Delivered milestones: work that has been delivered and accepted — or not objected to within 7 days of delivery — is not refundable.
  • If we cannot deliver: if we cancel a project for reasons on our side, we refund all amounts for work not yet delivered.

On cancellation we hand over everything you have paid for, including source code and design files for completed milestones.

Retainers, hosting and maintenance

  • Monthly retainers (maintenance, SEO, marketing, support) can be cancelled with 30 days’ written notice. The current month is not refunded, but nothing further is billed after the notice period.
  • Hosting, domains and third-party licences we purchase for you are billed for the period purchased and are refundable only to the extent the provider refunds us.
  • Advertising spend paid through us to Meta, Google or other platforms is not refundable once spent; any unspent balance is returned.

Parchi licences

  • Every shop starts on Parchi’s Free plan, at no cost and with no time limit, so you can run your shop on it before paying anything. There is no trial and no card is ever asked for.
  • Paid plans (Shop and Team) are 12-month licences, paid up front, and do not auto-renew — you are never charged without choosing to buy or renew.
  • 7-day full refund: if you change your mind, ask within 7 days of paying for a licence and we refund the full amount. Your shop moves back to the Free plan; none of your data is lost.
  • After 7 days, licence fees are not refundable for the rest of the term. Duplicate or mistaken charges — a payment taken twice, or for the wrong plan — are refunded in full at any time.
  • When a paid licence ends without renewal, the shop gets 7 days’ grace and then returns to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted or locked.

Potli

Potli has no paid plan sold by us. Any purchase made through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store is subject to that store’s own refund policy.

How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are made to the original payment method within 7–10 working days of approval. Bank or payment-gateway processing times may add a few days beyond that. GST is refunded or adjusted through a credit note as the law requires.

How to request one

Email support@applightinfotech.com with your name, the invoice or transaction number, and the reason. We acknowledge every request within 2 working days.
