Privacy Policy
This policy applies to the Potli mobile application, published by Applight Infotech.

The short version
Potli doesn't collect anything. There's no account, no server, and no analytics — every entry, category, budget, and setting you create stays in a local database on your device.
What we collect
Nothing. Potli has no backend of its own, so there is nothing for us to receive, store, or see, regardless of how you use the app. The app contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and no crash-reporting services.
Where your data lives
All entries, categories, budgets, recurring transactions, and settings are stored in a local SQLite database on your device only. Uninstalling the app deletes this data permanently — use Settings → "Export as JSON" first if you want a backup you can restore later.
Network access
Potli only touches the network when you explicitly trigger it — sharing an exported CSV, JSON, or PDF file through your device's share sheet. Where that file then goes is determined by the app you choose to share it with, and is governed by that app's own privacy policy. Potli itself never sends your data anywhere on its own.
App lock (PIN & biometrics)
If you enable a PIN or fingerprint/face unlock, your PIN is hashed and stored locally on your device. Biometric verification is handled entirely by your device's operating system — Potli never receives or stores any biometric data itself.
Notifications
Reminders (bills due soon, over-budget alerts, backup nudges) are scheduled and delivered entirely on-device. No push notification service or third party is involved.
Permissions
Potli requests notification permission so it can deliver the on-device reminders described above, and biometric permission only if you choose to turn on the app lock. Both are optional; the app works fully without them.
Children's privacy
Potli is not directed at children. Since the app collects no data from anyone, this applies equally regardless of the user's age.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version adds an optional feature that does use the network — the "Last updated" date above will change, and the new policy will apply from that date.
