The short version

  • This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers.
  • The only personal data it collects is what you type into the contact form, and that arrives with us as an email.
  • We use it to reply to you and to scope your project — never to sell, rent or share for marketing.
  • You can ask us to see, correct or delete it at any time by writing to support@applightinfotech.com.

This policy explains how Applight Infotech LLP (“Applight”, “we”, “us”), LLPIN ACR-8078, of GF-29, Golden Avenue, Dhandra, Ludhiana, Punjab, India, handles personal data collected through applightinfotech.com and in the course of providing our services.

Our own apps have policies of their own, because they handle data differently: see the Potli privacy policy. Parchi’s policy is published on parchiapp.com.

What we collect

When you browse the site

Nothing that identifies you. The site sets no cookies and loads no analytics, advertising or social-media tracking scripts. Our fonts are served from our own domain, so browsing the site does not tell Google or anyone else that you visited.

Like every web server, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical logs — IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time — to keep the service running and secure. These logs are held by the host for a limited period and are not used by us to identify or profile visitors.

If you choose a light or dark theme, that choice is stored in your own browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device. See the Cookie Policy for the detail.

When you contact us

When you send the contact form, we receive the details you enter:

  • your name and email address (required),
  • your company and phone number (optional),
  • the service you are interested in and an indicative budget,
  • your message.

The form also records the date and time of submission and the IP address it was sent from, which we use only to spot and block spam.

If you email, call or WhatsApp us directly, we receive whatever you choose to send through that channel.

When you become a client

To deliver a project we may process business contact details for you and your team, billing and GST details, and any content or data you give us to build, host or maintain your system. Where your system processes personal data of your customers, we act on your instructions as a processor, and the terms of that are set out in our agreement with you.

Why we use it

We use personal data only to:

  • reply to your enquiry and discuss a possible project;
  • prepare proposals, deliver and support the work you engage us for;
  • invoice and keep accounts, as tax and company law require;
  • keep our systems secure, including filtering spam and abuse.

We rely on your consent (which you give by sending us a message, and may withdraw at any time) and, for clients, on the performance of our contract and our legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

Who we share it with

Only with service providers we need to run the business, and only as far as they need it:

  • our web and email hosting provider, which carries the contact-form email and stores our mailboxes;
  • cloud and infrastructure providers used to host client systems;
  • accountants, auditors and legal advisers, under a duty of confidentiality;
  • authorities, where the law requires us to.

Some of these providers may store data on servers outside India. Where that happens we use providers bound by contractual confidentiality and security obligations, and we transfer data only as permitted under Indian law.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 24 months, so we have the context if you come back, then deleted.
  • Client and billing records: for as long as the engagement lasts and then for the period Indian tax and company law requires — generally up to 8 years.
  • Server logs: as long as our hosting provider retains them, typically a few weeks.

How we protect it

Access to enquiries and client data is limited to the people working on them. Our sites are served over HTTPS, accounts use strong passwords and two-factor authentication where available, and we keep systems patched. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but if we ever become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have the right to:

  • access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
  • correct, complete or update it;
  • erase it, where we no longer need it for the purpose you gave it or are not required by law to keep it;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting anything done before;
  • nominate someone to exercise these rights for you in the event of death or incapacity;
  • have a grievance addressed — by us first, and then by the Data Protection Board of India.

To use any of these rights, write to support@applightinfotech.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Children

This website and our services are meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site before they take effect.
